Worship

We at Trinity Covenant Church have covenanted together to seek, serve and solicit God's pleasure. In worship we desire to reflect the beauty and stability of liturgy and yet remain open to the leading of the Holy Spirit. We worship together and celebrate our Lord's Supper with ancient hymns and prayers, contemporary praise songs, and prophetic word for an experience that is biblical, historic, contemporary and relevant.

Our expressions of worship might be new for you. We hope this will help you join us in worship:

Why do we stand to sing?
"Praise the Lord you that STAND in the house of the Lord."
(Psalm 136:2)

Why do we lift our hands?
"LIFT UP YOUR HANDS in the sanctuary and praise the Lord."
(Psalm 134:2)

"I want men everywhere to LIFT UP HOLY HANDS in prayer,
without anger or disputing."
(1 Timothy 2:8)

Why do we clap and shout?
"CLAP YOUR HANDS, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy."
(Psalm 47:1)

Why do we pray for the sick and anoint with oil?
"Is any sick among you?
Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him,
anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord."
(James 5:14)

Why do we celebrate the Lord’s Supper weekly?
"And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying,
‘This is My Body given for you;
do this in remembrance of Me.'
In the same way, after the supper He took the cup, saying,
‘This cup is the new covenant in My Blood, which is poured out for you.'"
(Luke 22:19-20)

"For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup,
you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes."

(1 Corinthians 11:26)

Our Music

"Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise in the assembly of saints. Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp." - Psalm 149:1-3 [NKJV]

Come with us as we enter the Throne Room to lift up our Lord and King, Jesus Christ, with contemporary praise and worship music, traditional hymns, and our own original music. Our Worship Team is comprised of talented musicians and vocalists who are inspired by the Holy Spirit and have a heart to worship. It's not about what we do, it's all about what Jesus has done in us and for us.
